ABOUT US
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of this program is to help students from Kindergarten to 12th grade get ready for the 2020-21 school year. We partner with the local faith based community as well as various county resource agencies to offer these services to the community. We are so very thankful for the collaboration of the local school system for their willingness to allow us access to distribute the forms to all students. Ultimately it is about the kids. Jesus said in Matthew 18:5 that "whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me".

Our Goal
Is for every students that sign up for this program will receive a backpack full of school supplies; new shoes; a bible; vision and hearing screenings; and a haircut. Our goal is for children to be able to go back to school with confidence and the supplies they need to be successful at school and ultimately successful in life. Most importantly we pray we can plant a seed of faith in their heart that will hopefully grow allowing students and parents alike to FEEL THE LOVE OF GOD and SEE GOD through our community uniting together for the benefit of those in need.

GAKAC LC started in 2017 serving the children and families of Lawrence County. It is a non-denominational, service-based organization consisting of various churches in our community including Baptist, Methodist, Church of God, Catholic and independent all involved with helping all families. GAKAC LC considers it a blessing to partner with our entire Community. It is our prayer that families will benefit emotionally, physically and most importantly spiritually from this wonderful event!
